Psych2go features various psychological findings and myths. In the future, psych2go attempts to include sources to posts for the for the purpose of generating discussions and commentaries. This will give readers a chance to critically examine psychology.

I find this post extremely disturbing. Not because I think the “Facts” on the list are impressive or even interesting, but because I am worried about how easy is to fool people and make them believe anything that sounds vaguely possible. Even if the intention was to promote discussion and eventually “give the readers a chance to critically examine psychology” it doesn’t give any tools to do that yet. It just throws a random list of things that might or might not be true and expect people to be critical about it. YES, I KNOW, WE CAN BLAME IT ON PEOPLE FOR BELIEVING ANYTHING THEY READ, but if the purpose of this kind of posts was to fight ignorance, it shouldn’t just make a list of pseudo-facts and see if anyone notices. This is why people think science is a bunch of fun facts. This is why the other sciences don’t take psychology seriously. This is why we can’t have nice things.
